Cars were not being allowed into the city so we had to find another way. My son, Fraser, and my grand-daughter, Lydia, (then aged 13) who live in Edinburgh came to West Lothian because we had been told, most kindly, that Linlithgow SNP could let us have places on their coach. We were VERY grateful. I was overcome by the number of people who turned out in Glasgow. I spoke to many who had never protested before. They felt compelled to stand up against such an immoral act. They were from all parts of society. Tony Blair was in Town at a Labour event. NOBODY WAS THREATENING HIM. BUT, we were diverted and ‘kettled’ in Glasgow Green until they flew him out in a helicopter!!! I think this politicised a lot of people who had always accepted the status quo. In my opinion it led to loss of faith in the Labour Party. AND SEE WHAT`S HAPPENED TO THEM NOW IN SCOTLAND! (PS I`m not a member of a party, just a fighter for moral causes).
