I took my two older daughters then aged almost 12 and 13 to the Glasgow March. I also had in the buggy my son of 18 months as my husband was more interested in going fishing that day. I wanted the girls to know that you can say not in my name and we walked from the green to the Clyde Auditorium to make our voice heard by Tony Blair who was speaking In Glasgow on that day. Half way through the march I was struggling with back pain but made it to the auditorium. Took the kids for something to eat and walked back to my car at Glasgow Green and couldn’t bend by that time to get into the car to drive home. Had to call my parents to come get me and the kids and burst two discs in my spine that day.
Would do it again without hesitation .
