London

I’d marched before for and against several issues over the years but this felt different from the start. Just the hint of the size. The point it hit me I think was as we went down the length of Whitehall and the march stretched ahead and behind as far as I could see and it filled the road – there was this overpowering feeling of it being absolutely huge. Then there were snatches of conversation saying that it was still passing through street X or that it was already at street Y whilst we were still in Whitehall. It was incredible to feel the presence of so many people all opposed to this insane and illegal plan to commit the supreme war crime and invade another country. Time has unequivocally shown how right we all were, every one of us.
