I marched with friends and family in London. It was a massive march and it took us a long time to get to where the march was due to start from and an even longer time before the march got under way. When we started we went along the Thames Embankment under the bridges towards Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It was a very special day, one I will never forget. I only wish the politicians had listened to us.
The next day people were asking me if I had seen my photograph in the papers. A Reuters cameraman had been standing on one of the embankment bridges and had taken a photograph looking down on the crowded street full of marchers and banners. There are thousands of people in the photograph but for some weird reason there is this tall man in the middle that the cameramen seems to have focused on. I’m very proud of that photograph and have had it hung up in our hallway every since. It makes me sad sometimes to look at it but I am very glad we were there.
