I have been on many marches but the best thing about this one for me were all the school students who left their schools for the day to join the protest.
Many teachers discreetely turned a blind eye although officially it was forbidden. My daughter, then aged 15, marched with her friends with a peace symbol painted on her belly.
They gave me hope for the future. I will always march regardless of whether mass demonstrations make an immediate change.
The more voices raised the more we connect and it always makes a difference.
