I went in one of many coaches from Leicester (UK). It took 5 hours to march from Euston Road to Green Park station, and then it was time to go back to the coaches for returning to Leicester. I didn’t get to the rally and speeches at Hyde Park at all, much as I would have liked to. However, I was pleased: the congestion told me just how huge the turn-out was.
What a contrast between the great, communal marches and the business of war being conducted as usual. I’m afraid this is still happening. We haven’t cracked this one yet, but that’s no reason to give up.
