It was the biggest march I had ever seen. The whole of Sydney was brought to standstill. The crowd was so big that the march doubled up on itself; the front of the march reached the back of the crowd before I had even taken a step. The mood was defiant and upbeat. We knew that the drum beat of war was being made on public relations and lies. We knew we were on the right side of history. I have never seen a demonstration like this one in my lifetime.
