Immy is a Brooklyn-based documentary director, producer, and teacher. Her films have received many honors, including an Academy Award nomination, screenings at NYC’s MOMA and Film Forum, and festivals from Amsterdam to Arkansas. She has produced for Dateline NBC, National Geographic, A&E, CourtTV, USA, and Michael Moore’s TV Nation. Her work has won support from the NEA, Jerome Foundation, New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA), Soros Fund (now Sundance), Robeson, ITVS, NEH, the Warhol Foundation, and others.
