I was on holiday in Australia on the day of the protests. My family there thought that I was insane for wanting to join the anti-war march on the only day I would have in Sydney. It was a special and very memorable day. I enjoyed comparing the Australian protests with the ones I am used to in the UK – quite simply it was sunnier, and there were far more people with beach balls! There was some wonderful puppetry and I spent most of the day marching behind some large puppets of George Bush with a poodle of Tony Blair.
I hope this film has enormous success in recording how strong the global anti-war voice was, and restoring some measure of justice to the many thousands of lives lost so senselessly.
